months from today. The UCMT Family of Schools Career Services Department
are nationally accredited massage therapy schools staffed by fourteen
full-time career counselors who's only job is to start you in a
fantastic new career. Massage employers visit UCMT's job fairs several
times a year to recruit therapists for their operations, and many
of our students are placed even before they graduate. Becoming a
massage therapist is an exciting, fun, and rewarding challenge in
which you will experience life changing personal growth while creating
a great career for yourself helping and caring for others. The UCMT
nationally accredited massage therapy schools are committed to the
success of each student and graduate. The Career Services Department
offers a comprehensive career counseling program and many career
opportunity listings. The Career Services Department supports students
and graduates in obtaining part-time or full-time employment in
the field of massage therapy and in setting up private massage therapy
practices. The UCMT Family of Schools' Career Services Department
is devoted solely to developing the job market, to counseling students
and graduates, and to referring graduates to employers.
The
Professional Massage Therapy Program prepares students to become
successful practicing bodyworkers. The Program exceeds standards
set by COMTA, by national certification, and by most state and municipal
governments for licensing. Our nationally accredited massage therapy
schools teach the art and science of massage therapy, while also
teaching sound business practices which prepare students for success
in the marketplace. As part of the Professional Massage Therapy
Program curriculum, a student completes a comprehensive Professional
Development course. This course includes techniques of enrollment,
starting and operating a massage therapy business, presentation,
advertising, resumé writing, job interviewing skills, and
the integration of sound business practices with a holistic approach
to health care. Students participate in the Clinical Internship,
which provides them with on-the-job training in preparation for
working professionally. The Utah College of Massage Therapy Family
of Schools, one of the largest nationally accredited massage therapy
schools in the country, with over 7400 graduates from its six campuses
in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado.
