Karen Welty Gray

Karen Welty Gray graduated from the C20 at the Salt Lake City Campus of the Utah College of Massage Therapy Family of Schools in graduation June of 1995. Soon after graduating, Karen, her husband, and a fellow classmate moved to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands and began working at the Grape Vine Spa at the Hyatt.

"As a recent graduate, my husband and I, along with another classmate moved to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands to work at the Hyatt. I was recently working on a middle-aged woman originally from Argentina and currently residing in Washington, D.C. After the session was completed, she asked where I had received my training. When I told her UCMT, she exclaimed, ‘I knew it!’ She said she goes out to Utah to ski every year and goes to the Clinic. ‘I could tell you trained at UCMT,’ she said, ‘because I always get the greatest massages there and this was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been receiving massages since I was 18.’

"She went back to the booking agents who book my appointments and told them how wonderful her massage was. I’ve [received] a lot of business from her and I want to thank this great school for the exceptional training and a world-wide reputation for excellence.
