Debby Adams

Debby Adams graduated from the Salt Lake City campus of the Utah College of Massage Therapy in December of 1993. Debby did not get interested in massage until after her marriage of 21 years failed and she found herself left at home alone with six children to raise. She had very little education beyond high school and had been a housewife during her marriage with no professional work experience. She saw an advertisement for UCMT and decided massage was what she needed to do. So she took a day job and between working full time and raising her children, Debby began her adventures in massage therapy, attending school in the evenings. She completed school in December of 1993 never having missed one class!

Debby loved the Clinical Internship of the UCMT and wanted to serve as many clients as she could. Together with a fellow classmate, Debby decided to open a private practice. Right out of school she and her new partner rented a room at the Ogden Best Western (now the Marriott) and built up their clientele. Now almost ten years later, she is with the same partner and working three days a week, renting a room at a local salon, Nichol’s and Company in Ogden, Utah. She fully supports herself and her one child that is still living at home (and occasionally her wayward daughter who is a Career Counselor at UCMT.)
