Cindy Rice

Cindy Rice graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in December of 1998 from the Salt Lake City campus. After moving to Mount Vernon, Illinois, Cindy began working at a clinic, Physical Rehab Works in the spring of 1999. The parent company of Physical Rehab Works, HCI is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and operates forty-five clinics throughout the Southeastern United States.

Cindy began working in a part-time capacity for the clinic while also working for a local chiropractor, Dr. Struck. She now is a full-time employee, paid hourly with full benefits. "I love what I am doing. I feel very honored to be employed in this profession in my hometown."

Cindy wrote the following regarding her employment with Physical Rehab Works:

"I am… likely to see thirty-two plus [patients per week.] The program was so successful that another massage therapist was hired [which allowed] me to work a normal week rather than… fifty-two hours plus seeing ten to eleven patients a day, five days a week. It has truly been great fun to see the massage therapy program grow in a physical therapy clinic that previously only employed PT’s, OT’s and ST’s. I have been a pioneer and that has satisfied my need for adventure. We actually have three clinics right now and I am working a split schedule between Mount Vernon and Benton and fill-in at Carterville when needed. Each clinic has its unique atmosphere so it is almost like having three jobs not one."
