Brenda Eiland

Brenda Eiland graduated from the Salt Lake campus of the Utah College of Massage Therapy in September of 1997. Upon graduating, she moved back to her home town of Meridian, Mississippi and set up her own private practice, Emerald Aegis Therapeutic Massage.

Brenda admits that it was a slow process for her to build up her clientele. "The first year was quite lean." But she "had a resolute attitude" and focussed her energies into building the "kind of practice [she] had in mind," a flourishing massage practice, focusing on healing and aiding athletes as well as "regular" clients with injury related needs.

Brenda now has a "full week every week," working with cyclists and various other athletes. She states that "the education [UCMT] gave me has enabled me to adapt to the unique needs of each person who comes here."

Brenda's marketing has become so effective that she is becoming overwhelmed. She states that she has "more appointment requests than I am able to schedule, so quite a few are placed on the waiting list." She has become so busy in fact that she is currently seeking another therapist to work with her and the "most precious regular clients anyone could ever hope for." She is also looking for a larger facility, to better serve her growing clientele.
