Aimee RandsAimee Rands, a graduate of D-08 resides in Tyler, Texas, a small, "closed minded" community. Aimee was working as a registered nurse in both the ICU & CCU wards of a hospital before she attended the Utah College of Massage Therapy back in 1994. She has not practiced as a nurse for some time now as her private practice is now flourishing and she makes more money working as a massage therapist. She sees 4-5 clients per day (Monday through Wednesday) with a rather extensive waiting list. Up until only 2 months ago, Aimee saw 7-8 clients per day (Monday through Friday), but decided to cut back for personal reasons. Aimee mainly conducts rehabilitative work now, working with the injured and the sick as opposed to the other "so-called therapists" in her area who only know how to "rub oil." Her reputation has grown so much throughout the county that a local massage school requested that she teach at their facility. She declined, laughingly stating "[I would have] racked their brains as my UCMT training is a much higher level of education." Aimee is making wonderful leaps & bounds in Tyler, Texas as a massage therapist. Recently, an investment company and a furniture store both employed her services to conduct on-site work on all of their employees. This is the first time any companies in this community have employed the use of a massage therapist. |
