Adrian C. Ashton

In February 2002 Adrian "Ace" Ashton interviewed in Salt Lake City at the Steiner Transocean recruiting visit. Ace didn’t graduate until March 2002, but it was his dream to start his career working onboard a cruise ship. At the time he attended the recruiting event, he had yet to graduate from his professional daytime program. He was told at his interview that he would have to re-interview in the fall, as he was not yet a graduate or licensed in the State of Utah.

Adrian was determined to get started as early as possible. A couple of weeks after the recruiting event he received a letter stating that he was successful in the interviewing process but there were no current openings for him. Adrian graduated and licensed at the first available opportunity and set out to work privately until he was able to procure a position on board. In April 2002, Adrian received a phone call from Steiner asking him if he would be interested in starting in July 2002. He accepted the offer and has spent the last 3-month preparing to embark on his adventure.

Getting the money to license, pay off his bills, take some additional training, as well as making sure he had enough funds to get to England was in the beginning, a big obstacle for Adrian. He says that he truly believes "If you are 100% committed the rest takes care of it's self." Adrian has worked privately for the past 3 months and has made the money necessary to make his dream come true. Adrian says "My intent is 100% clear, there has never been any confusion in what I want to accomplish."

Adrian’s future plans include opening his own spa, retiring young and living life to it’s fullest.
